Die Talon Beta wird bald geschlossen. Es werden keine neuen Tester aufgenommen.

Dafür kommt bald die kostenlose Demo-Version raus, mit der man Offline das Spiel antesten kann.

Parallel dazu wird dann die Vorab-Version zum Vorzugspreis erscheinen - ein kostenloses Upgrade auf die künftige fertige Version ist dabei inkl.

Die Demo Version wurde nun veröffentlicht

Es wird nun daran gearbeitet die Liste der LAN zu bearbeiten - und vor allem daran, die zuletzt gefundenen Bugs zu entfernen.

Auf der Prioritätenliste steht auch die Anleitung wie Leveldesign gemacht werden kann.

Ein Release der ersten Version ist Anfang November angepeilt.

Ich kann nur nochmal bitten: Ladet Euch die Demo runter und schreibt JETZT was Euch stört, oder was Euch fehlt, und vor allem: was Ihr für Fehler und Probleme findet!

JETZT haben wir eine realistische Chance an etwas mitzuwirken was ich als "Descent 5" empfinde...

In den nächsten Tagen soll eine neue Beta erscheinen.

...und ich würde gerne diese WE mal ein MP im Netz veranstalten. Da hier ja auch einige Betatester sind, möchte ich hier auch darauf aufmerksam machen Winken
Terminvorschläge sind Fr. 19:00 / 20:00h und Sa 15/19/20:00h. Das sollen nur "Starttermine" sein, da wir erst mal nur "wild ballern" wollen, ohne Teamorga. Wäre also schön wenn aus dem DF auch einige dazu stoßen.

@Checky: da meine Server, wenn ich aus dem Spiel starte, nicht immer gesehen werden können, - können wir dich erreichen, wenn wir einen Levelwunsch haben?

Das ist eine komplett Installation, daher nicht über die vorherige drüber bügeln, sondern die alte deinstallieren oder in ein neues Verz.

Neuer Patch ist raus Smilie



NOTE: Version 21 is NOT network compatible with version 17.


Fixed in Version 0.13.10.21

1. Fixed issue with dialog z order getting shuffled, which could cause the weapons config windows to become locked behind the ship selector layer, among other potential problems.

2. Fixed loss of textures when alt-tabbing out of the game during the loading process.

3. Tried to fix condition where the game could load inside the launcher window (untested fix).

4. Fixed client-server conflict which caused a weapon switch event to repeat several times in quick succession.

5. Fixed condition where joystick input can become stuck if game window focus is lost while a button/hat/trigger is on.

6. Fixed input conflict with tab key which prevented functions bound to TAB from working when menus had mouse focus.

7. Upped minimum allowed game resolution to 800x600 to avoid cropping menus in-game. Also, it shall henceforth be declared that the minimum required Desktop Resolution is 1024x768.

8. Blocked Windows key from opening Start Menu to avoid disrupting (possibly crashing) the game.

9. Fixed mouse cursor not showing on window border.


Changed in Version 0.13.10.21

1. Added support for mouse buttons 4 and 5.

2. Increased Autocannon ammo.

3. Added automatic update checking.

4. Changed console open key from [~] to [alt ~]

5. Prevented cloak from hiding damage smoke. Damaged ships now leave a smoke trail while under cloak. This is done to reduce the effectiveness of the cloak as a means to escape ever being killed outside.

6. Changed to proper window border with x button and system menu.

2. Fixed player/spectator counting bugs. Servers should no longer show 255/x players.

3. Fixed bug that prevented weapons switching if ship was powered off when entering a reload zone.

4. Fixed missile recoil bug.

5. Fixed various engine bugs in ray cast function.

6. Fixed a failure to preserve proper selection when server list refreshes.


Changed in Version 0.13.10.21

1. Added "Connecting To Server" notification dialog. This prevents the user from making duplicate connection requests, and prevents attempts to connect to two servers at once. This also adds a Cancel button to cancel connection requests to slow or un-responsive servers.

2. Increased size of server info box.

3. Upon leaving a game you are now returned to the screen from which you launched it.

4. Auto-Switch now changes weapons immediately on empty, instead of dry fire.

5. Double clicking on a map in Start Game screen will launch game.

6. Added client-side prediction of collision damage & powerup/down. This should improve the feel of the game on laggy servers.

7. Added new music tracks by terminal error.

8. Added music playlist customization to Options menu.

9. All ships now have the same weapon capacity.

10. Dedi servers now reset when the last player leaves, and wait for players to join before beginning the game.

11. New feature: Target Marking. Place you reticle on a target and hit Mark Target button (new binding in Options menu) to Mark that target in purple. Marked targets show as marked for your team. Repeat to un-mark. Anyone on the team can mark/un-mark any target.

12. New Feature: Game Modes! We now have Anarchy and Team Deathmatch, in addition to the previous Capture and Hold mode.

13. Added Point Limit as server option.

14. Changed scoring behavior in Capture & Hold mode: Teams now start at 0 and must accrue additional points to win. Points are still lost for deaths, but hitting 0 points does not end the game.

15. New weapon: ESAP Gun, replaces Spaz. Electro-Static Attractive Projectiles do very little damage, but are attracted to ships, including cloaked ships! Good for outdoor combat to finish off a difficult opponent, or expose a cloaked ship.

16. New weapon: Waveguile Rifle. A (proper) laser/railgun-type weapon. Moderate refire rate, moderate damage, instant hit. Good for outdoor combat.

17. New weapon: Tracker Missile. This tiny missile attaches a temporary tracking beacon to its victim. No real damage, but the beacon allows you to track your target under cloak, and even through walls.

Ziel markieren, auch für Teamkollegen. Neue Waffen... Geil

..und Boogie konnte wohl meinen Server sehen. Nun mal sehen ob der NEustart auch keine Probs mitbringt UND ANARCHIE !!!


Ich hoffe am Sonntag kommen mal ein paar aus den Löchern und wir zocken ein bisschen TALON Winken

Das Serverproblem scheint beseitgt, denn seit heute Nacht ca. 2h läuft selbiger und man kann immer noch joinen und bekommt bots zum abschießen. Ich würde das gerne aber noch mit mehreren gleichzeitig testen.

Die neuen Waffen sind auch interessant und das Schildverhalten hat sich ebenfalls merklich geändert, nun müssten wir das mal im openspace testen...


Wer außer VEX testen kommen will und Betatester ist..., - unser TS ist geöffnet Winken

Das mit dem Server ist ein Netzwerk Problem bei mir zuhause, es ist mit der neuen Version auch nicht behoben. Ich weiß nur nicht was genau da stört

Mir klar dass es für uns eher unglücklich ist. Dennoch:

Ab Mitternacht findet ein großes Spiel der Beta-Tester statt.

Wer Zeit hat sich da noch ein Stündchen oder so einzuklinken ist herzlich geladen dran teilzunehmen.

Für die Westküstler der USA ist das Nachmittags um 15h, für die Ostküsten-Freaks ist das 18h - man mag die für uns komische Uhrzeit also verzeihen Winken

Joo war leider etwas ungünstig getimed.

ABER heute abend findet ein Spiel mit dem neuen Patch statt, auf dem VEX- oder DF-Server.

Treffen ab 2000h auf dem VEX-TS-Server.
