Hey,

Im working on a multiplayer level. Name -Carlito's Way- and im wondering about weapon balance.
Its a level close to The Core in size. I don't want a missile lobbing level, I was hoping to make a level which emphasize long good dogfights. MD is out of the question. I have doubt about vauss, but it is good weapon to finish your opponent when he's on low shield. (And its good to have when runners refuze to face you Sehr glücklich )
First I thought of not have any missiles at all, except for cons, but some missiles are good for 1 on 1's. It's when there are 3 guys and up you start to die from random missiles launched from outside, which annoy the hell out of me Böse
Last time I tried to make a level I had too many fusions, when tested we ended up with just fusion dogfights, so I have redused fusion and added more supers.

Well...anyway, so far it looks like this:
2, AB cooler
2, Quads
4, Superlaser
3, Plasma
2, Micros
2, Vauss
2, Vauss clip
2, Fusion
4, 4 pack cons
2, Inpact morts
2, Homers
2, Napalm rockets

I guess the only way to find out is to test, in real life Auf den Arm nehmen
If somebody can host, and a bunch of other guys to have a fight. It whould be awesome Smilie

PS: I totally redesigned my first Calitos Way, its a whole new level now.

That level looks amazing - can't wait to test it Winken I could start it on the vex-server when you finish it (dl-links etc.)

somehow it is similar to elysium, especially the choice of weapons

Hey Boogie, I sent you a DL link to the level.

I took out 2 4-pack concs and replaced them with 2 smarts.

Now we need some folks to test this thing Sehr glücklich

Ok, seems thers been some misunderstanding between Boogie and me. I thought he was up for a beta test.

Sorry, but I can't host a game since the game server doesn't exist anymore.

Anyways, I can provide you some Linux compatibility by compiling your DALLAS scripts (if any).
I could also test it online if it's before Wednesday.

EDIT: Game tested, runs nice. It is better than Elysium imho
Server is up. It's not public.

Ask me for Adress and Port Winken (it changes sometimes)

Aight, thats cool Realizer. Im not sure if I have time to day (Sunday 30.08 ) but both Boogie and Lion have the level. So if you guys test it without me thats fine. Just give me an review her on how the level plays, and what changes if any you suggest I should do.

Ok, Level and Servertest was sucessfull. Level seems to be absolutley ok.
Little powerup tunings...

@LEON: Great work !
and thanks to Lion Smilie - sometimes in the game i was not sure which opponent i fight.

Thanks for the test guys.
I think I will do some small adjustment in the upper room, it was too open IMHO. I wanna try 2 more 4-packs of cons, I don't think many cons will be a problem in a level that open. Not sure what to take out though. Maybe 2 vauss clip.

I have done some minor adjustments based on the betatest, and it's ready for release.

I will send it to you Fischlein as soon as I have included the download link.

Hmmm, I have problem making a link using the ' in Carlito's. Then maybe the url link in the level doesn't work either. If this is the case, I need to edit the level again.

Edit: Something wrong with the auto download link in the level. Need to fix that first.

normal (not high or max) ZIP compression, all lowercase (especially as Unix based servers seperate here) and no special characters is always a good idea - especially as the autodownload-feature within Descent3 is quite sensitive.
