Hi,

cu in the mines,

Auszug:

Quote:
This page is dedicated to a little known program called "Descent Online". It was created by Engage Games, a now extinct online gameing service. It was a modified version of Descent 1 containing two new ships.

The Aggressor Prime, The Tigg, and the Standard Descent 1 Pyro GX.

The Aggressor Prime is comparable to the Magnum-AHT of Descent 3, but it was actually faster then Pyro GX by a factor of .75! This ship spawned with a Plasma cannon and 125 shields and energy. It could carry a total of 250 shields and energy, but was unable to upgrade it's lasers from the basic level 1.

The Tigg would be the equivalent to the Phoenix, but it to was faster then it's current day counterpart. It spawned with 75 shields and energy, and could only carry a total of 150 for both shields and energy.

Descent Online used a HTML based TCP/IP plugin and temporary .VXD files to start the game up on an Engage Games Onlines server and then switch over to a Peer to Peer game.

Supposedly there is a small Descent 2 level with the ships grafted into it. The name of the level is unknown, but the name of the hog file is "Suprise.hog".
