Hey all!
Some of you may know of the weekly 1v1, 2v2 and anarchy tournaments Zero and Delia are organizing over at the DBB( http://www.descentbb.com/viewtopic.php?t=3090 .
The idea came up in chat today to host something similar for us Euro players, in more accomodating times and european servers.
So my question is, a)How many of you would be interested to take part in something like this and b) would some kind folks be able to provide 4-5 small servers for the duration of the events?
Please feel free to add any suggestions/input/questions.

Yess, indeed! If players are interested, i am willing to help organize and set this up like i have been doing for the regular bi-weekly tourneys! 
And remember, everyone is welcome to the current tourneys we are hosting!
If anyone needs further details, let me know. The tourneys are great fun!

To get any Servers / dedi for a onetime or circular event, this should'nt be a problem. 
(We have alot European server. Most of them u know ^^ )
1 on 1 and 2 on 2 events, is a good idea. But I, by Myself, need the mass of players in a room to get my "lucky kills" 
I feel so, that i'll loose 95% of this matches. I know, its not a good feeling and not a good position to go into a game or Tournament.
But i think, some players from european area would be there to play with you.

YES!!! Everyone is welcome to play!
The goal here is to include more of the Euro players in a tourney and at a more convenient time than 3am start for them...
AND play the tourney on the Euro servers to spice it up a bit!

I think it is great that you organize such games and I'm interested since I love 1on1s
How is it about the ping? Especially on 1on1, it would be good to have servers with equally pings from different countries. I think American players might have a huge ping on European servers?

That's what we do for team vs. team matches (i.e. the most recent RIP vs. DIII matches).
But this is a one-night 1v1 tourney, there's really only time for one match between players. Plus, Euro players (like IsAB) have had to put up with high pings in the American tourneys... so "turnabout is fair play".

Put a server in the atlantic or play on an australian server.

| 2 matches per game would just take too long and require that many more servers, speaking of wich...i wonder who i have to talk to about server hosting on dfnet, deepblue and VEX ? (or anyone else that can help ofcourse)

I'm with Foil, we know full well that the majority of the servers will be in Europe, so its only fair that we play on those servers.
