Welcome to the community
IMHO you dont need an update. 0.2.2.0 is the actual version.

can I ask why it keeps telling me there is a updated version of vortex out ?? also when it tryes to load is shows the outline of the programe and then it closes.. could it be im running it on the AMD 64 Bit CPU ??
Here is my computer specs maybe that will help
AMD 3200+ 64 Bit athlon
512 MB memory
Asus A8N-E Motherboard
Windows XP PRO
It seems to not work right.. not sure why but would like to have help here... if you can maybe zip up your version (minus buddy lists and stuff like that) and send it to me.. maybe im getting a bad zip file.. I have tried to download a new file from slyclan.de but the first link to the file on the www.slyclan.de is corrupt and the other one is ok but gives me all the problems above.. also if anyone else would have answers to this problem im having, please feel free to help me out here...
Thank you
Will
P.S.
Is there a way or option to change the language on the boards to english so i can understand what people are saying ?? is there a setting or something ??

Hi!
Delete the whole Vortex-stuff from your computer, re-download it from slyclan.de (both links work properly - tested it 2 mins ago), extract and start it.
This Vortex-Forum is kept in both languages - german and english - your thread will be in english only. You can change the board's "software" language in your
profile but ofcourse NOT the stuff the people wrote...

what i ment on the link does not work is that when you downlaod the zip file in the first link and try to extract it it says something about unexpected end of archive..
and me deleteing all the vortex stuff and retry to download it and install it.. well it still tells me that a newer version is avalible and it still only opens it enough to show the programe outlines.. then it shuts down .

please delete your stuff again (except the ZIP), lookup a "votex.ini" in your Win-root (C:\Windows\vortex.ini) and delete that one too...
again: extract the zip and start vortex.exe
good luck

0.2.2.0 IS the latest release and as you can see yourself it is NOT the out-of-date problem yet.
If you have fumbled around with your system-date it is possible...

Vortex has some bugs in win x64, but I did not encounter your problem.
If you are running the normal 32 bit windows the amd 64 bit cpu works like a normal 32 bit cpu.
Good luck!

Out Of Date 31.08.2007.
Neu runtergeladen, entpackt, gestartet, immer noch Out Of Date 31.08.2007.
Also wo GANZ GENAU, verdampfte Hundepest, schreibt dieser paranoide Kontrollfreak das out of date flag rein?
