Has anyone thought about a "wheel of fortune" multiplayer game mode? Basically, before the main game begins, a game of wheel of fortune is played to earn weapons and powerups. Players can also earn the right to use certain "cheats" (set by server operator). Then the game begins as usual. Missiles fired by one player will return to that same player after a delay (set by server operator) if the option to do so is set. If the reactor and boss robot are both destroyed, another round of wheel of fortune begins, after which the players are returned to the game (to original starting places) and the reactor and boss robot are replaced, perhaps in different locations.
It would be even nicer if the wheel, display, and display character were in 3D!

I suppose there should also be a "Jeopardy" mode.

<tt>This seems to be a very interesting idea... Though I doubt that anything could be done pre-level... I could just be that the server waits untill everybody soawns, keeping people put at their spawn point. by disabling controls. Though the bonuses would have to be pretty subsatantial. The reason for this is that I'm sure that any vet could bust my ass evne if I were loaded to the gills. Maybe if you were able to make people get a 'penalty' such as they take more damage per hit than normal? or their weapons\AB have a bigger drain, something like that.</tt>
