I have a question about creating a MonsterBall level. For some reason, when I change the room properties of my start room to "monsterball" it won't save that change. I am unable to package an mn3 that works but the quick test mission works. I am adding the keywords "GOALS2, GOALPERTEAM, SPEC1".
Am I doing something wrong, or am I missing a necessary step?
Thanks

I never created any Monsterball level, so I can't say anything about at the moment.
I have to create a testlevel to see how and if it works.
Wonder a little about quicktest level will run and 'normal' starting that level will not.
You really can't save the Level ?
Or do you mean the level doesn't work because you can't start your Monsterball game in D3 ?
Did you select the Gametype 'Monsterball' in the D3 Start Level Menu when selecting this level?

what happened was I set one room in the room properties to monsterball goal blue, and one to monsterball goal red, and I set the room with the ball to "monsterball start" i click save then make a mn3 file. when I try to start this mn3 in monsterball mode I get a message saying that the level is incompatable with that. When I then go back into the editor I see that my room types no longer say monsterball start. It seems that I am unable to save it that way, howver when I use the quick test method my level is monsterball compatable.
so I am confused as to what I am doing incorrectly.
Thanks

I made a little MB test level, switched inside Room Properties from Generic to Monsterball
choosed first room, clicked Monsterball Start.
went to the next room, checked Red Goal and right hand I said 'current face is goal face'
next room became Blue goal by the same procedure.
I saved the level.
With Quicktest choosed the testlevel and set GOALS2, GOALPERTEAM, SPEC1
Saved the mn3.
Closed D3Edit and started D3.
No problem, I saw the ball and could move it to the goal.
Reloading the level and looking into the Room Properties again.
The dropdown list was set to generic again and I couldn't see Monsterball Start, but the field was checked.
I set the mode to Monsterball with the Dropdown list and could read Monsterball Start now.
The checkboxes are for all Gametypes, the labels are set by the choosed modes.
Please check the steps above in your level. If you can't get it to work, please mail me a download link
so I can have a look what's going wrong there.

Yes using Quick test works fine, however what I am noticing is that if I open up my level the properties are not saved the way I had them as far as being monsterball rooms. whether I fix it or not I have not been able to get "Mn3 edit" to make a functioning monsterball level.
I will just use the quick test tool to make them I guess.

Sorry, I can't say anything about Mn3 Edit, it's not part of D3Edit Source.
I'm using quicktest all the time and it works fine for me.
You say that the Monsterball properties are gone if you reload the level.
I can't reproduce this by my own MB testlevel.
I would need your level to see this my own and to search this problem then.
