I was a(LL) a long time ago...(LL)LadyC
I have moved to the netherlands and want to play descent. Another (LL) sent me the cd's but I cannot get them to work with windows xp. The buttons on my joy don't work correctly...cannot move up and down or forward very fast...can someone help me?

hi ladyc and welcome to the descentforum, have installed d2 on w98 and had the same prob, slow sliding when the hat is assigned direct to slide-function in d2. only solution i found:
assign the hat functions in a joystick-profiler to keys (for example w a s y (or z)) and then assign these keys to sliding.
