Hi,
Firstly, sorry for not being able to read or write German. Maybe I'll learn a bit while I'm here.
I'm the author of Glidos http://www.glidos.net. Lueder Hoppe told me that several people here had tried it but none had made it work. I just thought I'd see if there's anything I can do to help. Glidos is hard to set up, but I get a lot of people using it with Tomb Raider get around the problmes eventually with some help. Descent II hasn't been working so long as Tomb Raider; maybe the problems are different ones.

Is is also usefull for Descent-3 ?
@an die deutschen User:
Hat schon jemand Erfahrungen mit "Glidos" und D3? Lohnt sich die Installation?

@ Paul: Thank you very much for your interest to get this working with/for us and welcome to the Descentforum.de! If you have single translation requests here or there: Don´t shy to ask for translation. We have a couple of pleople how are able to conversate in both languages very well.
@ Ben: Hier geht es erstmal nur darum D2 zum laufen zu bekommen. Ich kann mir auch nicht vorstellen das es Sinn machen würde, weil Glidos ja Glide nur emuliert (mittels CPU-Kraft, welche Du in D3 ohnehin schon verbrauchst).
@ alle Germanen: Scheinbar bekommen wir momentan immer mehr internationalen Besuch, was ich SEHR begrüße. Falls jemand die englischen Texte hier im Forum nicht versteht, aber Interesse besteht: Ich erkläre mich bereit zu übersetzen...

Ach so! Mein Englisch ist eben auch nicht so gut um den Text von "Mr.Glidos"-Homepage zweifelsfrei zu übersetzen.
Auf jeden Fall, Danke! Man lernt nur dazu.

Ah good! I seem to be pressing the correct buttons some of the time, at least.
@Ben: I don't think Glidos will work with D3. I don't yet have a copy but, as far as I know, it uses Direct3D. Presumably D3 works with modern graphics cards and gives good graphics quality.
Glidos works with just one type of program: ones that use Glide/3dfx under DOS. One of the versions of D2 is Glide/DOS; the version is the one realeased by Andy Hanson, called D2_3dfx.
