Hi all
New to this place, but since a few DXX-Rebirth mates of mine advized me to go here as well, i thought like hey why not!
after some years of collecting and beng a Pyro Jockey since it all began on October 21, 1994 when the first Descent Demo rolled out I was hooked imedietly, and sicne then I waited for every part of the series to arrive but never thought about this collecting feeling which I started about 2 years ago and now it has turned into a Descent obsession some call itObi's Descent Archive and others a museum heh
Anyways name it what you all like here's some new pics and I want to thank alot of you for helping get a few of these rare wanna haves.
yeah it was kinda a puzzle to lay it all out after some fitting here and there and here's the funny part it's not even complete yet rofl!
Hi all
well I just received my 48th Descent item:
Descent Levels of The World MAC PLAY Sealed
I will have to redo that mega shot in the first post again lol haha, ah well keeps me busy
This item was very hard to find and then sealed, I have been looking for this item for about 3 years and a good 3 and half weeks ago it came true!
So enjoy the pics, click them to get the high res shots.
The ones I seek are these 5:
Descent: First Strike for MAC Boxed or Sealed
Descent II: Counter Strike for MAC Boxed or Sealed
Descent 3: Retribution for MAC Boxed or Sealed
Descent 3: Retribution for Linux Boxed or Sealed
Descent 3: Mercenary USA Box with Black Pyro art for PC Boxed or Sealed
For more detailed shots of my collection, feel free to take a good look around in my gallery, I am still redoing some photo's so some of the old ones will go and be replaced and of course new ones will be added hehe, so here it is:

hey thanx man , yeah Descent = Life my friend
oh here's a laugh from me

Descent is like a true revolution in the gaming world, sicne it was the worlds first true 360 degree FPS game with real freedom, this made it so special, Descent 1 was more challenging that part 2, since the timer was alot shorter to get out of the mine before it blows up and no guidebot But man! I had those times that I almost shat my paints after exiting the mine with only 1 second left over haha Descent 1 level 6 is a good example, it scared me.

hehe thanks mate!
Here is something I paniten 13 years ago on this Addtronics A6896-A Entry level Server tower and yes I still sue this as my main DXX-Rebirth rig
Descent 2 Pyro-GX paint art:
FreeSpace 2 Paint art:
Descent is the first real game I bought in my life, my PC life began somewhat late, pre -3dfx era. When descent was previewed in PC game mags in october of 1994 I was like damn whata n idea! just fantastic! then the demo came on December 17 1994 on 2 FDD's , here my Descent 1 FDD gallery for the people ask what types were made, got both different FDD retail versions and the original Interplay USA Descent 1 retail ppreview demo and two others from two different 3rd party brands.
http://www.3dfx.ch/gallery/v/3dfx_collectors/collectors_goldleader/Descent/Desccol/D1/
And yeah when I ahd the demo I played iit every day in in evry mode until I wanted the retail, Doom II was hitting the shelves but it did me nothing.
Descent was the game to get and since day one I got hooked to it and the collection started taking shape back in 1995 just when Descent 1 went retail on CD rom and til now I keep finding items but I must admit it does get alot harder finding the missing items in perfect boxed or factory sealed format heh!
The Descent series has something no other game had of it's time which was 360 degree freedom in a FPS game with a space ship. The Idea was , is ans will remain avery original one, during the Descent 3 days Forsaken came some type of Descent 3 like game but it wasn't original and it was different but it just wasn't my way of saying hmm oke they more like try to copy the idea Parallax, Interplay and Outrage had heh, so i kinda left Forsaken aside.

OK as Gold_Leader showed off i said I had a couple of things myself and he asked me to show it off.
A couple of things (playstation versions and 3-4 other boxes) are still hidden in a moving box at my sis' attick for ~7 years now - together with my complete music CD collection. Gotta get those out some day...
Well OK here we go:

The Joysticks don't count, they are hardware parts from Microsoft and not Descent based software or items from Interplay, Parallax Software or Outrage rofl. Just post your Descent collections based on the games, books, strategy guides, mouse pads, T-Shirts , Caps and other Miscellanious items from Interplay, Parallax Software or Outrage Software based on the therm Descent

since the 3D-pro is the only proper joystick suitable for descent (even without usb), it counts.

hmm it's ajoystick that has good support okay but Interplay had nothing to do with it Microsoft made it, so imho it's not something under the same category of Descent games, it's off topic for that part.
Post your Descent collections I don't read Descent on them sticks :')

Maybe we could have a separate thread for joystick collections?

I wouldn't play Descent without a 3dPro, for me the two are joined at the hip
