@Kontros: Was für eine Mission war das? Und welche Option ist bei Einstellungen -> Präfixe unter "d3" eingetragen?

Mission... hab alle möglichen ausprobiert... bei skybox aufm descentforum.NET-Server bin ich sogar reingekommen aber nach 5sek wieder gekickt worden (ka, liegt warscheinlich an meiner internetverbindung - 722mbit verteilt auf 4 pcs)

Bei präfixe habich leer gelassen, weil ich kp hab, was da reinkommt....

Bei Präfixe sollte bei D3 folgendes stehen: env LD_PRELOAD=/home/NAME_HIER/send_recv_filter-0.1/send_recv_filter.so
(Das NAME_HIER durch Dein Homeverzeichnis ersetzen).

Damit sollte das Problem gelöst sein.

Für DF.NET mit einem Texteditor die Datei ~/.loki/descent3/.Descent3Registry öffnen (Achtung: die Datei ist versteckt!) und folgende Zeile unten anhängen:

"ConnectionSpeed"="Fast"

Wir wohnen in so nem kleinen kaff, und sind ganz am ende einer 6000er leitung (Und die bezahlen wir auch^^)

@D.Cent: Hab jetzt gemacht, was du geschrieben hast, aber wenn ich jetzt auf "GO" Klicke, steht als letztes in der Konsole nur "start_command: LD_PRELOAD=/home/kon/send_recv_filter-0.1/send_recv_filter.so descent3 --glfog --nocdrom --rend_glide --tempdir /tmp
Child process with PID 16702 for process LD_PRELOAD=/home/kon/send_recv_filter-0.1/send_recv_filter.so started."
Und es tut sich nix weiter... ;(

Hmm also diese send_recv_filter.so läd er jetzt anscheinend richtig, aber wenn ich auf "GO" klicke wird wieder alles Schwarz... ich muss dann immer mit killall -s KILL descent3 den prozess beenden..

Jop, der is ein Ersatz dafür in C geschrieben.

@Kontros: Das ist merkwürdig - Du kannst mal nointro und windowed bei den D3-Optionen ankreuzen. Wenn nointro nicht hilft, dann poste bitte, was in der Konsole steht.

Ich habe mir diesen Thread durchgelesen und fand das Tool so gut, dass ich es in meine Version von "Xubuntu 9.04" eingebaut habe. Ich kann es auf der Live CD nun auch starten. Aber wenn ich einen Server auswähle und auf go klicke sehe ich einen Dialog mit dem Titel "An error occured" und dem Inhalt "calling fopen()" Wenn ich auf ok klicke passiert gar nichts.

Die Fehlermeldung an sich bedeutet, dass eine Datei entweder nicht gefunden oder nicht geöffnet werden konnte. Der Server, den Du ausgewählt hattest, enthielt wahrscheinlich einen Level bzw. einen Mod, den Du noch nicht hattest. Bitte poste beides mal hier - dürfte nicht schwer zu lösen sein.

ich hatte das Level Ascent und den Mod Anarchy und die zugeörigen Dateien befinden sich in den richtigen Ordnern. Auf dem "nomalen" Computer klappt das ja auch. Nur auf der Live-CD nciht. Das mit der Live-CD ist deshalb so wichtig, weil ich an meinem Geburtstag eine kleine Descent - Lanparty machen will, wo jeder der das Spiel nicht hat es über eine Live-CD nutzen kann.

das halte ich für eine ziemlich geile Idee.
Einfach Rechner vernetzen, Live-CD rein,
und auf allen Maschinen läuft das selbe
System mit Descent. Man kann die Live-CD
auf Descent hin optimieren, etwa ein Ramdrive
für die temporären Daten oder wenn Platz is
gleich das ganze Game dort rein Sehr glücklich

Schau mal, ob folgende Verzeichnisse / Dateien existieren:

~/.loki/descent3
~/.d321go/send_recv_filter.so
/usr/local/bin/descent3
/usr/local/games/Descent3
/usr/local/share/ODF/d321go

Außerdem kannst du mal schauen. was passiert, wenn du einfach ohne Tracker aktualisieren auf "GO" klickst.

Die Idee ist wirklich super - fänd' ich cool, wenn das gehen würde Smilie

die Beschriebenen Dateien und Ordner sind da.
Ich habe versucht auf eigene Faust das Problem zu lösen indem ich die Logs beider Systeme (dem normalen und dem Live-System) verglichen habe.
Dabei bemerkte ich, dass D321Go im Descent3 ordner nicht nur in meinem Home Verzeichnis sondern auch in dem Descent3 Installationsverzeichnis sucht.
Das lag (wie ich nach langem nachdenken und ausprobieren heruasfand) an der Datei ~/.loki/descent3/.Descent3Registry
Ich kopierte also diese Datei in das entsprechende Verzeichnis. Dannach musste ich nur noch die D321Go einstellungen unter Präfixe anpassen, dort stand noch der Benutzer meines normalen Systemes.

Die Live CD funktionierte dannach. Man konnte das Spiel direkt spielen. Allerdings gab es auf meinem zweiten Computer einen Grafikfehler, der Bildschirm blieb schwarz und ich sah den Ladebalken. Nachdem der zweite Ladebalken durchgelaufen war, blieb er dort und der rest des Bildschrimes blieb leider immernoch schwarz... es scheint also nicht auf allen Computern so einfach zu gehen.

ANMERKUNG : Wenn jemand das mit der Live-CD nachmachen will, dann sollte er vorher die Datei "remote_pipe" archivieren. Ansonsten kann der Live-User nicht erstellt werden, weil er eine Pipe nicht kopieren will oder so... darüber habe ich mir auch sehr den Kopf zerbrochen... wenn man die Datei nicht archiviert und dann die Orginaldatei löscht dann kommt man bei der Live-CD nicht weiter als bis zum Login-Screen. Wer auch eine Live-CD erstellen will, der findet das Tool remastersys für Ubuntu und Debian unter : http://www.geekconnection.org/remastersys/remastersystool.html.

Trotzdem vielen Dank für eure Bemühungen mir mit meinem Problem zu helfen. Zum Glück klappt es jetzt. Ich bin gerade dabei eine neue Live-CD zu erstellen, die die beschriebenen Fehler korrigiert hat. Wer die Live-CD will, dem kann ich das Image vielleicht auf dem einen oder anderen Wege zukommen lassen (warscheinlich ~2GB). Ich lade es aber nicht einfach so hoch... das würde warscheinlich 2 Stunden beanspruchen.

Gut, dass es geklappt hat! Eine besagte Live-CD werde ich mir vielleicht auch mal zusammenbasteln und online stellen.

Der Grafikfehler scheint kein d321go-Fehler zu sein - sorry, dazu weiß ich im Moment auch nichts.

Das mit dem Grafikfehler liegt an meinem fehlenden 3D Treiber. Auf meinem anderen Computer habe ich einen Intel onoard, der klappt prima.
Leider haben nur sehr wenige Computer einen Intel-Grafik-onboard, deshalb klappt die Live CD auf Anhieb nur selten.

Ich habe jetzt aber mal wieder ein Problem : Weil das Installieren von den mit Remsatersys hergestellten Systemen nicht funktioniert, habe ich versucht eine Zusatz CD zu erstellen, die man einfach noch dazu installiert, wenn man das normale Ubuntu installiert hat.

Nun habe ich aber das Problem, dass ich die Seite von d321go_new nicht mehr finde, das alte d321go kapier ich nicht recht und ich würde lieber das neuere nutzen, wo bekomme ich es her?
